The AWS Certified Advanced Networking — Specialty certification is designed for professionals who want to demonstrate their skills in complex networking on AWS. In this blog, I’ll guide you through the steps to prepare for this challenging exam, including my personal experience, tips, and resources.

In the cloud, networking is fundamental. From routing traffic between applications to securing data as it moves between locations, networking ensures that everything runs smoothly and securely. A strong understanding of cloud networking enables organizations to optimize performance, minimize latency, and ensure compliance with security policies. How I Passed the Exam: My Preparation Journey

Preparing for the AWS Certified Advanced Networking — Specialty exam was an intense but rewarding journey. Here’s how I approached it:

Started with AWS White papers: I began my preparation by reading AWS white papers on networking services. These documents provided a solid theoretical foundation and helped me understand the underlying principles of AWS networking. I took detailed notes, highlighting key points about each service.

Hands-On Practice in Sandboxes: Hands-on experience was a crucial part of my preparation. I set up different scenarios in AWS sandboxes, such as creating VPCs, configuring Transit Gateways, and setting up Direct Connect links. I simulated real-world scenarios like multi-region architectures and tested how AWS services could solve various networking challenges.

Focused on Key AWS Services: Based on practice tests and my study plan, I prioritized AWS services that are heavily tested in the exam. I spent extra time mastering these services, knowing they would be critical to passing the exam.

Took Practice Exams: I regularly took practice exams from Udemy and Whizlabs to assess my readiness. These exams helped me identify weak areas and adjust my study focus accordingly. The scenario-based questions were especially useful, as they closely resembled the format of the real exam.
